Hello, I’m Joanna Spragg, a contemporary artist living and working in Farnham, Surrey. My passion lies in creating art that reflects the beauty of the places we hold dear. From the rolling hills of Surrey to abstract pieces inspired by light and movement, my work is designed to evoke emotions and complement your space.
I specialise in converting much loved vistas and favourite vignettes into stunning paintings for clients to enjoy in their homes and offices.

I’ve always loved art, and have been sketching and painting my whole life. My early career was in the corporate world, working for large multinationals in recruitment and HR but I realised after having my three children how much I missed the joy and calm that creating brings. A return to brushes was required! Long story short I did one of life's great career pivots, reconnected with my creative side and started selling my artwork alongside setting up my business Escape2Art.
Now, I dedicate myself to teaching art part time and painting for a minimum of two days a week from my home studio. Each piece is crafted with care, reflecting my love for quality and affordability. Whether it’s a nostalgic landscape or a bold abstract, I aim to create art that brings a little beauty into your everyday life.
I believe that art should be accessible and meaningful. My direct-to-customer approach means that when you buy from me, you’re not just purchasing a piece of art—you’re buying a piece of my heart, painted with love.
When I’m not painting, you’ll often find me exploring the countryside with my dogs, taking photos or dreaming up new ideas for my next project. I’d love for you to explore my collection and see if something resonates with you.
Artworks are available in original or limited edition giclee print format. Working mostly in acrylics I work on canvas from my home based studio in Farnham and have a commissions service available too for that extra special project.
